How projects advance

What each stage means

Studies

Scoping and pre-feasibility work: drilling, hydrogeology, metallurgy and capital estimates narrow the options.

Permitting

Environmental review, water concessions and community consultation, culminating in the permits to build.

Construction

Civil works, equipment delivery and commissioning, with the workforce peaking well above steady state.

Production

Ramp-up to nameplate capacity, after which the project becomes an operation on the map.
