Programmes

Three long-running partnerships

Each programme is run jointly with a local authority or community committee, with published minutes and audited spending.

Twenty-eight solar-pumped boreholes serve eleven villages around the gold operation, managed with the district council and metered at every standpipe. Uptime over the last twelve months was 97%.

A training centre in the nearest town certifies plant operators, electricians and heavy-vehicle drivers. Around 240 people complete a course each year, and roughly one in three graduates has moved into a role at the operation or a contractor.

Grievances

Raising a concern

Anyone affected by our operations can raise a concern, free of charge and without fear of retaliation. The process is the same at every site.

1 — Raise it

In person at the site community office, by phone, by post, or through the form on the contact page. Anonymous complaints are accepted and investigated the same way.

2 — Investigation

The site social performance team logs the grievance, acknowledges it within five working days and investigates with the people involved. Complex cases go to an independent reviewer.

3 — Outcome

The outcome and any remedy are communicated within 30 days. Outcomes are reported to the community committee each quarter, with personal details removed.
