Wilga Creek Stage 2 construction begins

Civil works have started on the second processing module at Wilga Creek, which lifts concentrate capacity by 40% from 2027.

Earthworks for the module 2 pad began this week following grant of the works approval in February. The project adds a second dense media separation circuit with a nameplate feed of 2.0 million tonnes per year.

Around 240 people are working on site during civil works, a quarter of them recruited from the region. The apprenticeship intake for the project stands at 24 roles across electrical, mechanical and processing disciplines.

First concentrate from the new module is expected in the second half of 2027.
